The Storm Print

The Storm is part of a new series of paintings that involve my concerns on climate change and the dire threat it poses to us. I have been seeing storms increase in number and size recently. Some tornadic clouds are so big they almost seem unreal. This is an exaggerated example depicted here, but I feel it gives emphasis to the piece and provides the viewer with a sense of both awe and terror. The rock formation is one I have explored in other paintings but I wanted to depict a geology that might occur if these weather patterns were to become a regular occurrence. In this case the rocks have been carved by the winds. Overall the painting as a mystery about it and I will allow the viewer to create their own story.
