acrylic paint and oil pastel on canvas. Unframed.
This is a figurative abstraction of the famous Flatiron building in New York located in 5th Ave. and Broadway. I based my composition from a photo taken in 1947 by Swiss-American filmmaker and photographer, Rudy Burckhardt. The Flatiron was inaugurated in 1901.
I made three paintings in this study of the shadows of the Flatiron. Each one of them being more and more abstract that the previous one.
Style: Contemporary; abstract
Features: Unframed. Free shipping in the USA. One of a kind.
