This piece was inspired by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The drama of the texture is reminiscent of the white foam above a wave as it is ready to crash to shore.
This is a textured abstract painting using high quality acrylic paints on gallery wrapped canvas. This piece was created using a credit card and a pallette knife. The bold turquoise colour makes a statement and would add a sense od drama to any room.

Art Girl Studio by Armelle Leblanc
I'm a self-taught artist working in acrylic and ink. For me, painting is a necessity -just like breathing . It calms my mind and allows me to express my emotions in a non-verbal way.
My pieces are mainly abstract and I love to work with texture and layers. My paintings often begin with a layer of texture, and then I build more layers with colour and expressive mark making. I want there to be an interplay between what is visible on the surface of my paintings and the layers underneath.
I have a deep connection to water and the beach - perhaps because I'm an Aquarius. I also have many fond memories of visiting my brother in San Diego, where beach visits are a must. I am drawn to blues,teals , turquoise and neutrals - the colors of the ocean, sand and weathered wood, which is evident in my work.
I want to catch the viewers eye with these beautiful oceany colors, and then as they move closer, they will see all the textures and layers.
