Telawen acrylic on canvas MEET THE ARTIST: Kim Hardy Kim Hardy is an emerging artist and white settler living in the homelands of SENĆOŦEN speaking people, or North Saanich, BC. Kim appreciates the privilege of exploring her creativity rooted in her Scottish and Northumberland ancestry and the influences she has been afforded growing up in Coast Salish homelands. Kim uses acrylic, charcoal, pastels and watercolour on any surface available and draws inspiration from nearby lands and waters. Kim is particularly grateful for the Elders and SENĆOŦEN speakers (Dave Elliot Sr and Earl Claxton Sr and their families) who have carried and shared the SENĆOŦEN knowledge and place names that allows us all a deeper connection and understanding of their lands and waters.
