I love the textural effect of the gold on the tektite stone. Each tektite stone is unique, even though they are shaped and sized alike. The contrast of black and gold stone along with the orange/red coral gives this piece a beauty all its own. This statement necklace will look elegant worn with your little black dress or black slack ensemble for compliments galore!
The necklace measures 18" (45.72cm) and is pictured on my life-size model/mannequin.
***The word tektite comes from the Greek word "tektos" which means molten. Whether the meteorite explodes in the air or upon impact, what we call tektite stone is thrown out from the explosive force.

About my Technique on Glass and Stone -
As an artist and gilder, I employ Verre Eglomisé technique, which is the art of painting and gilding precious metal leaf on the reverse side of the glass. Designs are engraved into the gold or silver leaf and then combined with glass and enamel paints on the back side of my glass bowls, table tops, and décor pieces. I also am gilding stone with gold leaf for my unique and elegant jewelry designs, and have custom commissions for special occasions such as concerts, weddings, anniversaries, and holiday gifts.
