Snowman Pop-up Ornament

The pictured item is a one of a kind artwork and also a fun toy! I put my own handmade whimsical spin on a classic children’s toy, but this one is for grown-up kids to enjoy. While sturdily made, it may not stand up to repeated rough handling. The cardboard cone is painted, covered in a blue handmade Japanese Mulberry paper with light blue paper snowflakes and silver circles added for decoration. It is then sealed with a satin finish acrylic artist medium. Each figure’s head is molded from Creative Paperclay, then painted. The bodies are white cotton flannel with tiny black pom poms for buttons and a piece of silver thread attached for hanging. Blue rick-rack trim is glued on the edge of the cone. The handle used to make the figure pop in and out of the cone is a stained and sealed wood dowel. The length is 6 inches and the widest point measures 1.5 inches. This would be the perfect gift for that person who would enjoy a unique and fun piece of art that you can also interact with. We all need a little play in our lives.
