Sleeping Florence

Sleeping Florence When I pulled into Florence with my rented car I stopped at this location, to find a room for the night, it was the closet place that had free WIFI. I noticed the view of the city and decided that I would be back in the morning. The next morning at 2AM, I left my hotel room and walked the 2 miles in the pouring rain to this overlook. I was confident that it wasn't going to stop raining and that I wasn't going to get the pic I wanted. I stood out in the wind and rain for 2 hours waiting. I was soaked. But, just as I was about to call it quits, the rain stopped. It was long enough to get my camera out and shoot a couple shots, just as it started to rain again. It felt a lot better to trudge back to the hotel room soaking wet, knowing I got an incredible shot. All my images are printed on fine art paper and then placed under acrylic to add, depth, clarity and a color pop that is unsurpassed.
