This cool chapel is 16 inches by 9 inches. The arched pieces for the roof line are made from trim on a stained glass window from a church steeple in Clinton Tennessee. The wood was an old drawer front from an antique chest that had been discarded. The bell is an old drawer knob with great original chippy paint. My chapel doors are always propped open.....does that send a message of some kind? Beside the door is a charming copper “pot” of metal daisies. I sign and brand the back of each of my pieces.
Check me out on instagram! weathered.creations. As I create I posts some of them online there.
I love taking old architectural pieces, and bringing them together to create something beautiful. There is beauty in the broken. Watching each piece I create come together gives me great satisfaction. Using old tin, copper tubing and a vast selection of other antique pieces, I create chapels, bottle art and other wall art items. I’m especially drawn to hearts, so those are a favorite to create as well!
