Shooting Star #2

Shooting STAR ornament with Spun Glass tail has the same design on both sides! I have made this ornament by layering gold and silver embossed foil medallions! These beautiful papers are handmade in Germany on 150-year-old machines. The Victorians used these same foil medallions in making their ornaments! The "tail" part of the star is made of super thin pieces of glass! They are super shiny and actually flexible because they are so thin. In the Mid Century, it was called Angel Hair and people put “clouds” of it on the mantle. There are very few people still handcrafting these. I have 3 different star patterns to choose from, each is a separate listing. This ornament is very LIGHTWEIGHT, as it’s made from PAPER! So it can hang at the end of the branch where it can be seen!
