*Acrylic on Canvas, velvet paper, gold foil* The inspiration for this piece comes from a term in sound physics called "constructive interference" - When waves overlap, two types of interference can occur: constructive and destructive. Constructive interference is bright while destructive interference is dark. If you were to represent it visually it would look like what you see where the third eye would be in the painting. This is a real Self-portrait, the artist in her struggle to see and be seen.

I am a Bulgaria born, St, Petersburg, FL based contemporary fine artist. I use precise lines, geometry, and color to explore complex emotions and concepts related to the Self. The minimalist approach to recognizable subjects and objects in my work strips down the layers and exposes the bare structures underneath. In my work I like to explore textures and types of surfaces to reach depth of expression and contrast. I am very much inspired by psychology, philosophy, progressive house music and my dreams.
My work is deeply personal but ultimately, I would like it to serve as a point of sincere contact and self discovery.
