Remnants acrylic on wood panel MEET THE ARTIST: Jill Paris Rody I began my lifelong love of painting in my early teens, and have lived in the Pacific NorthWest in both the US, and the last 51 years of Vancouver Island. I primarily paint the landscape, both in Plein Air, and from my own photos, taken locally and on road trips with my husband. I can never get enough of the spectacular scenery we live in; the colours and light tell a story of hope and renewal! I enjoy working in several mediums, however acrylic, where I can take advantage of the quick drying time to play with colour, texture and layering, keeps my imagination and an a sense of intuitive exploration fresh and lively. I have been teaching adult art classes for nearly 30 years both locally and by invitation beyond home, which I thoroughly enjoy; teaching is a wonderful way to share what I love!
