This small grove of redwood trees called "Redwood Circle" in San Diego's Balboa Park was captured in oil paint by California artist R. Noelle. Although these trees are quickly dying due to drought and have been forecast to disappear within the next 15-30 years, this painting immortalizes the century-old grove for future generations to remember. Looking through the trees and lush grasses, you can see the tall spike of the San Diego Museum of Man's California Tower in the distance. A beautiful addition to any room.

A California native, Rebecca’s artistic inspiration comes from her love of homeland and nature. Trained as a plein air painter, Rebecca spends much of her time painting outdoors on location. The gardens, landscapes and architecture of San Diego and of the places she travels offer endless opportunities to capture the beauty and emotion of life. Painting mostly in oils, she works in both brush and palette knife, as each tool creates a strikingly different effect.
