Pink Alpaca Handwoven Rug - #FB373 - Woven Alpaca Fiber Floor Rug

Item # FB373 28" x 27" Hand woven rug made from gently dyed soft pink colored alpacafiber, which is "frosted" over the natural soft gray fleece color for our own Iowa raised alpaca: "Blue" (photo above) We shear our animals each spring. The fleeces /wool are then cleaned, spun and hand-woven. On this rug - some of the portion of the alpaca fleece is dyed to a beautiful pink color that is gently spun over the natural grayish color of the fleece to create this variated "frosted" effect in a type of marled pattern throughout the rug. This rug is made on my 2-harness floor loom in a tabby style weave pattern, which makes a very durable rug. It is woven using pink and gray warp colors. The warp is made of a soft, but durable poly/cotton blend material. I have completed this rug with a traditional tied edging. This rug would be great for any room! Washing instructions: I would recommend hand washed with mild detergent or a very gentle cycle of washing machine. Rinse & Flat dry.
