"Palette Philosophy" was created in August of 2020 through analyzation of the inherent racism in "the art world."
This is an acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas.
The nine colors at the bottom of the canvas are the only colors used to create the entire composition, and the light pink color of the chair that the main figure is seated in is called "Flesh Tone Yellow," but who's flesh is this meant to mimic?

Acrylic painter.
Currently teaching art to K-8th students in Lakeland, I am a visual artist working mostly with acrylic paints.
I utilize found objects, photography, drawing, painting, and recycled materials to execute my work. The inspiration is life experience, the motivation is the people I come into contact with.
I find that using recycled canvas and "found" surfaces are an essential technique to convey humanity in my work. Objects can hold the worst memories, or nostalgia. A painting can make you reminisce, or recoil.
I aspire to discuss emotions with a visual assistance, when words fail to do the job.
