This is a one-of-a-kind journal made from a discarded copy of "One for the Money" by Janet Lambert, copyright 1946. I embellished the cover with a Monopoly one dollar bill, my hand drawn numerals, and woven ribbon, which also anchors the binding stitches. I bound the four signatures (groups of pages folded together) to the book cover using long and kettle stitches, visible on the spine. The pages of the journal are marbled-gold parchment. I have hand torn each page to size it to the book cover. On some of the pages I include out-of-context quotes from the original book for use as writing prompts.
