Old Chevy Truck Tile

Ceramic wall art. Old Chevy truck with red barn. Perfect farm house decor. This sgraffito carved art tile has added colors. The framed tile is just 9.5" square, so you could add interest to a small wall. This carved tile was handbuilt starting with a slab of clay cut to size (allowing for shrinkage to fit an 8" space). Once it had dried enough, I coated the entire surface with a black underglaze. I carved the design by removing the black, adding in the red and blue and carving the detail. This process is called sgraffito. After glazing and firing, the tile was placed in a purchased black wooden frame and is ready to hang.
