Which is worse? A divided nation, or a nation that thinks there’s a middle to meet with racists, pussy-grabbers, Neo-Nazis, etc?
I wrote the above question inside and around the edge of the burn hole (see pics). This piece, No Middle to Meet, reflects my anger and frustration brought on by the racism and sexism in the USA. The burnt pages represent anti-intellectualism and anti-empathy. Simultaneously, however, it also reflects courage and resolve - we need to untangle the mess, hence the thread.
