New Beginnings, Joshua Tree National Park 1/2020
The name New Beginnings is inspired by an observation of a sunrise. In the midst of this dry and solid rock bed, a loan juniper tree could sprout through this hard surface. Being alone at sunrise, Larry felt an overwhelming sense of how lives can be dry and hard, and yet life can spring through. This is part of Larry's “Minimalistic Collection” where he shoots in a way that the photograph has plenty of negative white space.
