It's a watercolor painting on Arches cotton paper. Archival paper and paints, of course! The painting is 16" x 20".
Blue jays are beautiful- so many different blues, and then the perfect amount of black and white to set them off. Beautiful, also, are the soft, warm grays of the original NES, and that tiny bit of red. Beams of light and blue skies are beautiful, too. I thank these elements for their existence! I bear witness to their beauty by painting them. That's about all there is to this painting. (But that's enough, right?)

I use watercolors to paint mostly robots, but also souls and animals and whatever else pops into my mind and seems like it's worth 10 to 60 hours of my focused energy. It's thrilling if people like my art enough to hang up in their homes. Though, logically, it makes perfect sense because I would.
