Natural Wonder: Chrysocolla and Malachite Druzy Necklace

Stone(s): Natural, chrysocolla and malachite druzy. 1.0" long by 1/2" wide.  Two, brilliant-cut green and blue diamonds measuring 2.25 mm (1) and 2.0 mm (1).  Material(s): Druzy is bezel set in 18K yellow gold and framed with oxidized sterling silver (.925). Bail (hook) is 18K yellow gold and 14K rose gold. Flower bud detail (on top of bail) is oxidized sterling silver (.925). Green and blue diamonds are set in 18K yellow gold bezels. Cable wire chain is oxidized sterling silver (.925). Pendant/Chain Measurement(s): Pendant is 1 5/8" long and approximately 1.0" wide. Cable wire chain is included, 16" long. Other chain options are available; please contact the artist.  Description/Artist Notes: One of a kind, statement piece.  The oxidized sterling silver framing the druzy is formed using hammers and anvils, creating rolling waves and curves in the metal (reminiscent of a bird's nest). A flower bud is molded and cast in oxidized sterling silver, creating the detail in the top of the bail (hook).  Colored diamonds are colorless when mined from the earth. They then undergo a treatment called irradiation, to permanently create the colored diamond. Irradiated diamonds are not radioactive and will not fade. The enhancement does not affect the price and is an affordable option compared to naturally occurring colored diamonds, which are extremely rare.
