N483. Enamel & Copper Peace Symbol Necklace with Turquoise Necklace. I made the pendant for this necklace by using copper wire to outline the peace symbol on a piece of copper, then using turquoise & cream enamel to color in the peace symbol. The chain includes copper & aventurine gemstone beads & copper rolo chain, with turquoise & aventurine gemstone beads at back with a tiny dove. The chain measures 21” long, but can be worn shorter. The pendant measures 2” by 1.25”.

Pauline's Jewelry Box
My jewelry reflects my passion for antiquing & recycling. I love working with early plastics (e.g., bakelite), found objects (e.g., vintage pinback buttons, lithograph tin, old bottle tops, transit tokens, electrical resisters, etc.), broken vintage jewelry & charms, metal (especially copper), & gemstone beads to create something fun & interesting to wear. I use a variety of techniques in my work, including cold connections, texturing, soldering, riveting, wire-wrapping, enameling, & forming. I take jewelry classes at the Des Moines Art Center, & enjoy learning & experimenting with new techniques. Each piece of jewelry I design is unique, & comes with a story that describes the history of the materials used &/or the message/meaning of the work.
