While I was painting this abstract portrait I was thinking about how often we talk about moving mountains, and how tough some of life's climbs can be. It takes a lot of determination and often we only seem to notice once we've reached the top. The determination in this woman's expression and the red wildflowers make this a stunning addition to any space.

I am an abstract impressionistic painter, living in Toronto with my husband and our mini goldendoodle, Josie.
Originally born in Alberta, I find strength and stillness in forests, fields, and by water.
Painting is a restorative process for me, it gives me time to focus on how beautiful and magical our world can be.
My works include both landscapes and portraits, although the portraits often include elements of nature such as branches or mountains.
My overarching goal would be that my collectors feel the same sense of magic and connection I feel to the world through painting.
