These sterling silver earrings are hand pierced (jewelry term for sawn out using an itty bitty jeweler's saw) from 18 gauge sheet metal. They are based on the markings and veins of actual butterfly wings, the bottom wings of a Monarch butterfly in this case. They measure about 1.5" including the ear wires. They are easy to wear and don't feel heavy on the ears. These are THE piece of butterfly jewelry you don't own yet.
