Merlin's Experiment 80 on Queen's Fingering

This yarn is dyed on my Queen’s Fingering base. Made of reliable, washable, 100% superwash merino, this fingering weight yarn is ready for any challenge. The sister to my Queen’s Lace base, this yarn rules from on high with a gentle hand and a soft touch, feminine and strong at the same time. Perfect for next-to-skin knits like scarves, shawls, or baby items. This colorway is tie-dyed and speckle dyed. This means the colors are applied in layers, with different parts of the yarn restricted in each layer so it doesn't absorb the dye. After layers of dye is applied, it is then speckle dyed. It's a fun method where dry dye powder is applied directly to wet yarn. The size of the sections will vary based on the colorway. What this means for your projects is there are more colors because of the overlapping as the dye is applied and they are less likely to pool and the speckles give a nice pop of color contracting the tie-dyed colors.
