Mammillaria gracilis fragilis 'Thimble cactus' is a small pincushion cactus that is densely covered with white spines. It forms prolific clusters and can easily spread into a mounded mat if given enough space. The stem segments are fragile and can easily fall off, but they are also quick to re-root. This diminutive cactus is native to Mexico and is known for its miniature, pale cream to pink blooms.
