Description
One of the four fire festivals, Lughnasadh is celebrated around August 1st in the Northern hemisphere as the First Harvest. The God of the harvest is the Green Man (also known as John Barleycorn). He sacrifices himself every year in order to enable human life on Earth. In some areas his death is mourned with wreaths decorated with poppies or cornflowers.
Detailed on this little lady's dress is a similar wreath giving thanks for this sacrifice.
Approximately 6-7 inches tall with adjustable arms. Will come with a willow broom or staff.
Created by hand with merino and corriedale wool and beautiful silver lined beads.
This lovely ornament is perfect for bookcases, mantles, altars, secret nooks, and special places.
** This not a toy. Please keep clear from sneaky cats*

Influenced and inspired by traditional European dollmaking techniques, my wee witches embrace simple and neutral features. As such the doll's personality and mood is directly created by the viewer.
