I have been creating jewelry since the age of ten. As a teen, I took jewelry classes in High School, the Indianapolis Art Museum and the Indianapolis Art Center. I began working in the jewelry industry right out of High School, apprenticing for some of the most well known jewelers in the industry. I have been working as a professional in retail jewelry as a bench jeweler for over 40 year. In 2003, I started teaching at the Indianapolis Art League as a way to give back to the community. While teaching, I became exposed to the juried art festival community and participated in my first juried art festival at the Broad Ripple Art Festival in May 2004. I have since participated in over 400 juried art festivals around the country. I have participated in some of the most prestigious art festivals, including Coconut Grove FL, Ann Arbor MI, St James Court KY, Winter Park FL, Disney World Festival of the Masters Orlando FL, and Bellevue WA. My private design studio and gallery is located in Carmel, Indiana and I work by appointment.
I have obtained the title of “Certified Master Bench Jeweler” by Jewelers of America. This title acknowledges I am able to professionally perform any task on the bench creating jewelry. Along with this title and my passion for art, I create one of a kind designs. My designs are for the discriminating art patron that desires the finest quality materials used in a creative and artistic way. My work is considered wearable art.
