Watercolor
9"x12"
For my Go Fish project, I decided to create a watercolor painting of a Longear Sunfish. When developing the idea for this project, I first looked up images of the Longear Sunfish and its habitat, and then proceeded to design sketches of my work. The main challenge I experienced when creating my painting was finding the right colors for my fish and being able to create the designs on the fish. One thing I learned about watercolor is that adding different amounts of water will get you multiple different shades of one color. When creating the landscape of my work, I used different colors and shades to create texture on the rocks and water in my piece. I enjoyed creating this piece because it helped me increase my skill of watercolor painting that I can use to excel in the future.
