MEET THE ARTIST: Alyssa Penner
I'm a born and raised Vancouver Island artist. My art is inspired by the human feelings towards nature. I also like to take inspiration from our human feelings with things and spaces. I am an artist who explores many subjects and media but my main focus is the forest. I use bright and bold colours to express joy. I like to try and make my work seem like it's alive with movement and light.
I am a stay and home mom of two while also working in my home studio. I like to visit all kinds of locations on the island to gather a ton of references for my work.
I have been working and living in Campbell River for 10 years now and this is my first time showing my artwork here at ARTWRX and in Courtenay! I'm very happy to join the show !
