Lion Replica is a portion of a bath found in Ostia Antica, an archeological site that was once Rome's seaport. It is know for the excellent preservation of its ancient mosaics. The stones used were limestone and the remained of a countertop. The light rugged effect surrounding the lion is designed to mimic the stone texture, The artwork is framed with a matte black metal canvas floater frame.
