(The beginning of) rain series led me in a new direction; to explore
those moments in time, when after a rainfall, in amongst the cedars
along the saugeen river, where the land is craggy, full of depressions,
these natural potholes fill up and become bejeweled ponds lasting
only until the ground absorbs the gift of water. True moments in time.
then gone forever or at least until next October when the rain creates

turns it a little, plays with the colours, & creates a painting that is a highly appealing blend of impressionism & realism. Micheal has an uncanny ability to isolate the essence of a landscape, and then illuminate the small part of the whole, which becomes the very symbol of
