San Diego's Liberty Station is a hub of good food, art, shopping and fun. Set in a former Naval Training Center, it is also known for its beautiful gardens and architecture, as seen in this plein air painting by California artist R. Noelle. Painted live on Channel 5, this piece captures a warm summer morning in one of Liberty Station's many rose gardens.

A California native, Rebecca’s artistic inspiration comes from her love of homeland and nature. Trained as a plein air painter, Rebecca spends much of her time painting outdoors on location. The gardens, landscapes and architecture of San Diego and of the places she travels offer endless opportunities to capture the beauty and emotion of life. Painting mostly in oils, she works in both brush and palette knife, as each tool creates a strikingly different effect.
