"Le Soleil D'Or" was painted plein air in Paris. I knew that Paris was beautiful enough that every view was worthy of a painting. Still, this was more perfect than any other. My goal as an artist is to have you right by my side. Here, you know why all the chairs at the cafes face out ... and there's a table and chairs just waiting for us to share the view.
