This large platter is ideal for food service of meats, appetizers, cookies, crackers, cheeses, fruits, or as a catchall for objects like keys, wallets, coins, jewelry, etc. The asymmetrical, flanged rim and curved sides makes it easy to lift and contain liquids that may seep out.
Handbuilt slab construction created over a drape mold; Decoration in construction process: carved and impressed design elements; Glaze decoration process: hand painted underglazes, glaze trailed and dipped overall glaze. Cone 6 mid-fire clay fired in oxidation to 2200ºF.
This piece is food-safe, dishwasher safe and microwavable. One of a kind, unique designs reflect the artist’s observation of nature and years of scuba diving, plant life, textures and terrain.
