Description
I often think about how many things are happening at once in the world. This piece is about the importance of land, what it means to people, and what we risk by not taking care of it. When seek to learn and just listen to Indigenous voices we can start to unravel the colonialist beliefs and become more effective allies for Indigenous peoples and communities. *Note that this portrait is not of an Indigenous person, but is a portrait of someone striving to be an ally.

I am an abstract impressionistic painter, living in Toronto with my husband and our mini goldendoodle, Josie.
Originally born in Alberta, I find strength and stillness in forests, fields, and by water.
Painting is a restorative process for me, it gives me time to focus on how beautiful and magical our world can be.
My works include both landscapes and portraits, although the portraits often include elements of nature such as branches or mountains.
My overarching goal would be that my collectors feel the same sense of magic and connection I feel to the world through painting.
