Land and DNA acrylic on wood panel MEET THE ARTIST: Angelika Forray Angelika Forray is a Hungarian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist, author and natural medicine practitioner. Her focus in art is painting and ceramics. She has an art studio and shop on Denman Island. The act of creating is very important to her, both as a process of discovery and healing. She enjoys the dialogue with the art medium where she listens to what the art wishes to be in an interactive relationship. Mindfulness meditation and a love of nature have greatly impacted her work. Angelika thanks and acknowledges the Land of Denman Island, the Pentlach, Komoxs, Sliammon, the known and unknown ancestors that have cared for these lands for eons where she lives and works.
