Description
This is one of my 'long/wide fitted lid' style boxes and is sized for somewhat larger items.
The carcass of this box is made from wenge with a top of a vibrant quilted maple.
The lid is positioned and retained by a lip of thin maple stock. The bottom of the box is lined with light tan ultra-suede to protect whatever you choose to keep inside. The bottom of the box has four soft feet to protect your table top from marring.
The box is finished with several hand-rubbed coats of clear lacquer and then waxed to bring out the natural color and figure of the woods.
