Risabug Goods is woman owned and family operated in the Green Hills of Platte County, Missouri. Goods sold come from the three folds of the business: the small farm and greenhouse, fiber studio and apparel room where custom tie dyes and screen printed apparel come to life.
Much of the art produced stems from my love of nature. In my fiber arts, there is often the incorporation of gems, minerals and precious stones if the piece itself isn't hanging from selenite. From the green house and gardens come all the fresh herbs used in the teas and diffuser oils. The pledge to lessen our carbon footprint shines by reuse of creative textiles, splashed with screenprints, patches and enamel pens. These are only available at pop-ups, however. Custom tie dyes are treated with a color fixer reactive, always with low impact procion dye to ensure vibrant colors that last years of washes. Screen printed shirts offer designs made with plastisol ink while Direct to Film garments offer designs made with water-based inks that require a powder adhesive coating and heat curing to finalize the print process. Risabug Goods officially launched in 2023. I feel grateful to again be utilizing my hands to produce artwork and something that brings joy.
