The Panda Plant, also known as Donkey Ears (Kalanchoe tomentosa), is a species from Madagascar with a soft, velvety texture. The term "tomentose" describes the furry, felt-like hairs that cover the entire plant, aiding in its ability to thrive in hot and dry environments. The long, upright leaves are silvery green with chocolate brown spots along the edges.
