The Kalanchoe tomentosa 'Chocolate Soldier' is a lovely succulent shrub with erect, densely hairy stems that are branched at the base. Its growth is slow, reaching a maximum height of 12 inches (30 cm) and width of 10 inches (25 cm). As it ages, the stems become woody at the base. This specific cultivar has narrower leaves and darker chocolate brown margins compared to the species. In spring and summer, the bell-shaped flowers offer a beautiful display with their fluffy, yellow-green petals and dark brown tips.
