Jane Austen - Four Classic Novels

This is a one-of-a-kind journal made from a rescued copy of a commercial reprint of a Jane Austen collection. I have adorned the cover with a vintage crocheted doily and pot holder and the cameo from a discarded brooch. The satin ribbon, in addition to adorning the cover, serves to anchor the long-stitch and kettle-stitch binding, visible on the spine. The pages of the journal are made from water-stressed, gold-colored marbled paper. I include out-of-context quotes from the original book on some of the pages to be used as writing prompts.
