Composition of glass and metal with carved stone alligators and fossils. The central ammonite is from Madagascar and has been ground and polished to reveal the beautiful suture growth pattern. Smaller ammonites from Morocco accent the sides. Can be hung in either direction from built in hooks.

Hibbs Art Glass
I began this work in 1972 and have exhibited at art shows around the country since. At that time I was very interested in transmitted light and the way it would affect an environment, it was the reason I chose glass as my medium. I am now more involved in the surface of things, compositions employing textures, the sculpting of new dimensional elements, and the mixing of different materials to produce stand alone pieces of artwork.
