Irish Belleek Mark Shard Pendant

This piece comes from a Irish Belleek plate dating from 1980-1993. It beautifully displays the backstamp with the images of an Irish wolfhound, Irish roundtower, and Irish harp. I recovered it in Ireland and made it in my County Tipperary studio. Measures .75" x .75" n n<em><strong>About Belleek</strong> nThe town of Belleek in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, began producing pottery in the 1850s in an effort to recover from the Irish potato famine. In the 1860s, the factory perfected its recipe for Parian porcelain and quickly gained prestige throughout Ireland, England, the United States, Canada, and Australia. Belleek is still produced today and considered highly collectible.</em>
