40"x48" encaustic on panel with custom white frame. From my New Frontier series which is inspired by NASA's solar system explorations. I wanted to look beyond Earth and examine topography on planets and moons while thinking about the possibility of space tourism, exploration of other planets to search for potential life and space colonization. I'm a sci fi fan and grew up watching Star Trek and Star Wars and the idea of space exploration was always fascinated me.

Nature, topography and travel are my passionate inspirations behind my signature grid paintings. I'm represented by the Petroff Gallery in Toronto and Galerie St. Laurent + Hill in Ottawa and have been in over fifty juried exhibitions in Canada and the USA.
I use numerous layers and initiative mark marking, scraping back and repainting until the desired patterns and depth are created. I either use encaustic or acrylic paint to create multilayered, textured surfaces. My desire is to trigger an emotional connection or memory for the viewer by evoking references to both nature and the industrial world with form, space and colour.
You'll find videos and photos of my art process and studio on my instagram feed. Please contact me if you have any questions on my work or would like to set up a video meeting. I welcome residential and commercial commissions.
My work can be found in numerous private collections in North America and Europe. I'm a graduate of McGill University, University of Toronto and Toronto School of Art in Art History and Fine Arts.
