300 yards, 6.85 ounces. Size 5-8 needles. 80% Shetland Wool/20% nylon. From sheep raised in our hilltop pastures here in Central Virginia. This is a worsted yarn spun for additional strength for hard wearing garments like boot socks. A yarn that has a soft lofty handle that softens even more as it is knitted, with a touch of lanolin remaining. Milled here in Virginia at Central Virginia Fiber Mill. Purchasing this yarn will support two women owned small businesses. A special yarn for your hand knits such as hats, scarves, shawls and vests.

A woman owned farm raising 50 Shetland, and now Gotland and Shetland/Gotland crosses, producing a line of Shetland and new this year-Gotland yarn. We provide both natural and hand dyed colors. We also produce socks from our yarn right on the farm. If you would like solid colored socks knit to your shoe size, we offer that service.
