The beauty of this pattern is that it is very customizable; it can be knit with any weight of yarn and is finished when you run out of that yarn. At the smaller end of the spectrum, you can create a great kerchief with one skein of wool, but you could keep knitting this until you have a large shawl/wrap. The shawl is pictured made in both a skein of DK wool and a skein of bulky wool to give you an idea of what you’ll get based on weight and amount. Gauge: It’s not necessary to check gauge for this project. You will want to be working at approximately the gauge listed for your yarn. Finished Measurements: Dimensions will vary according to yarn used. To give you a general idea, the smaller shawl worked in 225 m of DK measures 31” along longest (increase) edge and 19” across at widest point; The 437 m of bulky yarn yielded a shawl that measures 66” x 34”.
