Original Encaustic Wax Mixed Media painting featuring a Grosbeak bird. Painting has multiple layers of colored wax with bird drawing transferred on top. Added wax carvings shows layers of colors and adds depth. Painting is embellished with PanPastel, metallic powdered pigments, and finished with an acrylic gloss varnish to seal and protect. Base is wood panel with black painted edges.
