“Golden Solar Luna", Original Art, color pencils on gray paper, 4.5 x 6.5

I enjoy combining the symbolism and mysterious beauty of the luna moth with other curiosities of nature, which in this piece was inspired by the Sun. The Sun's activity is known as the "Solar cycle", and fluctuates over a period of time, (estimated at 11 years). The Sun's magnetic field flips each time it cycles through. So together, these symbols of the Sun and luna moth reflect transformation and new beginnings. Original artwork is in color and metallic pencils on gray paper. Frame has glass cover and is new/basic shaped plastic scoop style, black mat with custom gold paint added to decorate edges. Artwork measures 6.5 x 4.5; size with mat is 10x8 plus frame.
