ADDITIONAL SIZES: Medium—31x41" (Edition of 8) Large—40x53" (Edition of 5) Extra Large—50x67" (Edition of 2) THE STORY This starry scene resembling the cosmos comprises 20.39 grams of gold dust originally panned from the 19th-century California Gold Rush. It was discovered and collected in the 90s on the bottom of the ocean at the famous 1857 Central America shipwreck. The wooden sidewheel steamer ship was packed with families carrying tons of newly-prospected gold, waiting to be melted down and cashed in for life-changing gains. On its return voyage, the vessel was caught in a severe hurricane 200 miles of the USA's eastern cost and sank, few survived. PRINTS Prints are expertly rolled in acid-free glassine and shipped in heavy-duty insured mailing tubes.Original photographs are printed using archival pigment inks on premium photographic papers consisting of acid-free cotton. Prints include 1-2" white borders. All artwork is signed, titled, dated, and editioned in archival ink on acid-free labels.
