It's a quiet evening on the famous Frenchmen Street of New Orleans. People loaf in and out of bars, giggling and bellowing and burping in the street. A few men start playing music together on the sidewalk. People stop to look and suddenly everyone comes together in the neon light, moving and shaking and jumping about. The spontaneous musical spirit of the city is spectacular to witness. I very much enjoyed capturing this scene as it unfolded.
This piece was featured in my recent solo show, "Finding America". It was held at Headquarters Gallery in Telluride for the month of September, 2020. The work is 8x10 inches, varnished, and unframed. The standard size makes it very easy to frame. Please feel free to visit my office hours or make an appointment to chat, if you'd like more information.
